Happy Mother’s Day to all of you fabulous mothers!!
I hope that you are doing something fun today and that your family is spoiling you rotten!
In addition to today being Mother’s Day, it is also the kickoff for this year’s Food Allergy Awareness Week! WOOHOO!! There are so many exciting things taking place this week in honor of the big event! One of which involves the Empire State Building! FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) has been working with the Empire State Building for the past three years and it is finally paying off! So for the first time, the Empire State Building will shine in teal from sunset on Sunday, May 8, to 2 a.m. on Monday, May 9 in honor of Food Allergy Awareness Week!
If you live in Indianapolis, you should consider joining us tomorrow night (Monday, May 9th) as we kick off our recently rebranded food allergy support group. We began as Indy Parents of Children Having Allergies (Indy PoCHA) nearly ten years ago. We recently formed a board and rebranded to Food Allergy Support Indy (FASI). Our favorite pediatric allergist, Dr. Frederick Leickly, will be joining us as our guest speaker sharing his expertise on food allergy testing. I hope you can join us for a time of fellowship as we dig into the facts of food allergy testing. Don’t forget to bring you questions. Meeting begins at 7pm! I look forward to meeting you tomorrow night!
