I don’t know how anyone can make it through the holidays without yummy treats. One of the things that I look forward to the most is baking Christmas cookies with my little men. Just because they are allergic to most of the top 8 allergens (dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, gluten and egg) doesn’t mean that they can’t enjoy the same cookies that I did as a child. It just means that I have to get a little creative and use substitutes. Here is a roundup of some of our favorite treats that we make around Christmas. But let’s be honest, many of these treats I make year round!
All recipes are free of the top 8 allergens (dairy, soy, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and gluten).
- Mint Chip Chocolate Cake
- Chewy Sunbutter Cookies
- Allergy-Free Puppy Chow
- Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Grandma Lou’s Famous Sugar Cookies
- Allergy-Friendly Ginger Snap Cookies
